Experience Summary

Publications Coordinator - SC Department of Natural Resources

I manage a team of graphic artists at the SCDNR. I work to maintain consistency with branding standards in the agency’s marketing collateral. My designs for digital and print publications, social media campaigns, and internal/external communications are used to educate the public about South Carolina’s natural resources; with one campaign getting over 2 million impressions. I take complex ideas and transform them to understandable visuals. My more administrative duties include writing specifications for competitive quotes from vendors and submitting requisitions to agency procurement for purchase orders up to $70,000.

International Graphic Design Director - Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.

As the International Graphic Design Director, I lead a team of five graphic artists. I facilitated the creative thinking required to improve graphics designed for media/social media engagement based on the feedback of our audience. I have produced marketing collateral for the International President and program directors for internal and external communications, manuals and publications reaching over 100,000 sorority members. I was the liaison on the branding team and served an integral role in Zeta’s rebranding. I reviewed treated photography, selected colors, and selected fonts for new branding standards.

Graphic Designer/Forms Coordinator - SC Department of Natural Resources

In this role, I used Adobe Creative Suite / Cloud to design print and digital assets for the agency’s five divisions and the executive office. I coordinated with division leaders to produce the annual South Carolina Hunting and Fishing Regulations Publications for electronic and physical distribution to over 300,000 license holders across the state. In addition to designing, I served as the forms coordinator. I was responsible for updating the boating, hunting, and fishing forms/license applications each year.

Graphic Designer - Minuteman Press

I designed the layouts for various print publications. I consulted with customers on graphic and print offerings. I also assisted colleagues in completing large and multi-step projects.

Assistant to the SE Regional Director - Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.

In addition to administrative duties, I increased brand recognition of Southeastern Region by designing marketing materials for annual conferences that had a consistent look and feel. I developed branding with regional documents, advertisements,

and updated website, increasing membership engagement.

Graphic Designer - SC Department of Natural Resources

As a student I interned at SCDNR. I had the opportunity to participate with the planning of and designed postcards, billboards and web banners for the agency’s Lapsed Angler marketing campaign. I communicated with customers via phone, email or in person to perfect design projects. I also attended workshops on technology in the printing industry.
